The time has once again come for me to invest in a new set of gloves. I have heard some good things about Teknic. I have owned Astars, Joe Rocket and currently have some Road Masters. I must say that I am very happy with the Road Masters and have been a great glove for the price (60.00) but like I said it is time to get something else. What do you wear and what would you recommend?
I wrecked my bike sporting the Joe Rockets and I must say that I will never buy those things again. They ripped in the palm where you need the protection the most causing some road rash on the palm...ouch.
Chime in...

I've had Teknic chicanes in the past and the Violator glove now. Both are great. Newenough has violators for $40, I think regularly they are close to $80.

Argh, wrote a long post and it didn't go through :errf: ...

Anyways, I have had 3 sets of Alpinestars GP Plus and crash tested them also, they held up fine and did their job. Along those lines, Spidi, Held, Dainese, and other premium brands will do great.

I have a pair made by HELD. I have never seen anyone else with that brand, but I found them on the internet and they are the best I have ever worn.

i agree with the astars gp plus. though a little pricey...
hold up well, and if they don't, send em in to astars and they either repair em or send you a new pair.

I have thin, bony fingers, so the Dainese S.p.a. gloves work well for me. A-stars do not fit me.

I hear only good things about HELD as well. Don't they use Kangaroo leather? Anyways, I own A stars SP-2's and they held up just find in my crash as well. No injuries sustained to my hand/wrist.
