Anyone want to do a VERY CHILL ride on Sunday? Picking up the G/F a 250R (first bike) this week, and I should be able to teach her how to ride well enough to go out by then...
Thinking Telegraph for breakfast out at twin lakes.
Like I said, Very Chill, and introduce another female into the group...
Brownbrown?
Lin Mae?
Kelly?
Anyone?

I would not recommend a group ride for her is she has not ridden before. No offense, but I don't think any amount of teaching will make her qualified in one day. Take it slow with her (I'm assuming she has not ridden before from the statement you made). It will be enough stress with the new bike and you riding with her, she does not need the extra pressue of other bikes around, unfamiliar roads, etc.. Did she take the MSF yet? Stick close to your neighborhood on familiar roads for now... Just my two cents...

No, no MSF yet. Will schedule it in a week or so. She's been on my pocket bikes before, and she has been on the street, but this will be a little different. Same but different. We'll see. Even if she doesn't feel comfortable enough to ride, she can still run twoup with me. She's got a few miles of passenger duty.

Yea no MSF dont even think bout canyons with her on a first bike with mo real formal experience and other knuckleheads out on tele also. pocketbike is not the same and asphalt is unforgiving.

Stick to a parking lot and residential roads. If you want to get rid of her, then yeah, telecrash is a good option. Does she even have her permit yet?
Dont be overly anxious to get her on the twisties. You should give her plenty of seat time and then ask her if she feels comfortable. Does she have gear? Jacket, gloves, boots, and helmet?
Pants?

She's got all the gear except a good pair of gloves and boots. She's been with me as a passenger, so I got her a jacket, helmet and a pair of Fox gloves. They're alright but not if she's going to be driving.
I'll start with her on the X18 pocket bike until we get her bike either tomorrow or Thursday. That should help out a lot with the clutch and shifting. Plus, being a much smaller bike, it'll be easier for her to learn turning.
To answer your original question: Yes, this is her first bike. She's ridden before, but it was on dirt bikes. Should be fun for her. I'll keep you guys up to date on the training, and if she'll be up to her own ride. If not, then we could still go as a two-up pair.

Well, looks like snowboarding is the name of the game for Sunday. Sorry guys. However, she is enrolled in the MSF for the 10th through the 12th of this month!
