1) does wsmc use yellow number plates or do all racers, includes newbs like me use white plates?

2) does the axles have to be safety wired, or just the axle nuts?

3) how do you safety wire a hose clamp w/ a philips (+) head?

4) do the bolts that secure the muffler/silencer bracket to the subframe have to be safety wired?

5) am I missing any bolts that have to be safety wired?

1) White for everybody
2) Axle nut
3) Check out this site (http://sportrider.com/tech/146_0002_hand/) for pictures
4) No
5) Anything that has fluid behind it needs to be safety wired. The coolant drain plugs other than the main one need to be wired. The rear brake reservoir cap, rear brake caliper bolts, oil filter, front brake reservoir if it's the screw-on cap type

Yeah, there's a bunch of goofy crap to safety wire on the bikes. The hardest stuff is reaching in there and safety wiring hose clamps. You will undoubtedly miss something the first time through when you go for NRS. Bring a good cordless drill with you and a buddy who can do some safety wiring and then retech your bike while you are in class (that's what my dad did for me a few years ago).
