What turbo would be best for a bike?
Go for one of Garrett's smallest turbo chargers. There's a ball-bearing one rated for 250hp, and a journal bearing one rated for 220hp. Personally, both turbos still seem too large for your application. I would be looking for a 160-180 hp rated turbo. You want to stay in the right range, or you will get lots of turbo lag. There's lots of other factors you will want to look for, but hp rates for a turbo is good start. I know for sure, many people here in hypercycles do not agree a person should put a turbo in a motorcycle, especially if you go through the twisties. It would be fun to try though. You have a good chance of sliding out on turns when the turbo kicks in. It will probably spin the tires.
There's a 130 hp turbo also, that might be in the range for your bike. the GT12 series.
Also, you will want to learn how to read turbo maps so you can keep the motorcycle in a driveable range where the turbo is kept within its operating range.

Actaully the question wasnt really for me, i have friends here in Dallas that are in Mayham Bike Crew, and one was asking what would be best for his bike...
As far as for me, I'm good the way I am, I love speed dont get me wrong, but i dont feel like killing myself anytime soon...Lol
I love turbos, so the subject brought me to reply to this thread. I used to own an MR2 turbo. Whatever 4-wheel vehicle I buy next in my life, I will be installing a turbo or supercharger into it.

Honestly, for show purpose or drag racing I can see the benefit from a turbo'd motorcycle. Other than that, why would your friend want one?

I'm not hating Jeff...I really want to know the true purpose of putting a turbo on a bike. Other than the stright speed factor and/or braggin rights, what is the sole purpose of forced induction on a motorcycle?

if i had an extra bike to destroy and the money to burn, i'd do it just for Shieats and giggles. but it wouldn't be a daily driver.. i'lll leave the 230hp+ bikes to the pros and Darwin

lol, I know you're not hatin arnold, was jk
turbo's on bikes are ok just like they are in cars. I'm sure the busa engine can handle a turbo, I don't know how big/much. I don't see a reason why you wouldn't want a turbo if you are dragging all the time.
