I have heard rumors of a track being built in San Diego. Does anyone have any information of this, or am I smoking crack?

I heard rumors about a track being built on the Indian Reservation a while back, but I'm not sure if it was a circuit track or a drag strip?

I was told that it would be a full blown road course with provisions for a drag strip. I thought it was being located somewhere east of Miramar.

Isn't anything east of the I-15 pretty much Indian land or am I being ignorant!?!? Well if rumor has it, then for driving 3 hrs to the track, I could just load up my bike on the Trolley and be on my way!

I'm not sure. I know Intel wanted to buy alot of that land to build a plant to manufacture a communications processor plant, but was turned down. I am talking about all the land south of Scripps Ranch.

I wonder if it would have sound restrictions like Laguna?

Folks used to complain a lot about the miramar jet noise, but to me, that's the sound of freedom ringing.

Probably not to Iraqui soldiers.

That's because you don't live near it.

It's pretty difficult to build tracks and stuff on Indian reservations, as a lot of land has to be bulldozed, and they aren't too fond of that. The dirtbike track up here was nearly shut down quite a few times because of complaints.

Now Anza just needs a road track...there's a zillion places it could be built too, without worrying about noise restrictions.

I would think that south of Scripps Ranch would be ideal. That is where alot of the F-18s and various other military aircraft make their final approach anyways.

Im not sure how much, but Miramar does'nt end at the 15 it extends east pretty damn far east from what Im told, and Military maps of the base. I think it would be slim to non of anything getting built on goverment land. I don't want to hear any complaining about how loud F-18s are... I work underthem running everyday... somtimes at full throttle... its not that loud is it....
