Just watch out for CHP on Montezuma.
Going uphill, right hander.....followed by a slight S, followed by a nice left hander w/a turnout right on the corner. If you're on the S, look over to your left and there is a HUGE wall of rock where you will eventually end up after you've taken that sweet left.
Up at the top of that wall, is where I've seen the CHP perched. For those who do, I would caution against going over the double yellow.

I concur 100%. CHP have definitely been all about making Montezuma their local hangout. Thank you for the heads up on the turn. I do not anticipate being hassled by CHP as we NEVER cross double yellow lines and the pace will be one suited to enjoy the roads, not fear for our insurnace premiums on account of tickets. I would go so far to quote the Ultimus Rider and describe it as "lazy at best." Hahahahahah! Y'all remember that!?
Knightshade, you think you'll make it out?!
:Public Service Announcement:
YOUR LANE IS YOUR LIMIT
.... Crossing the centerline at any time except during a passing maneuver is intolerable, a sign that you're pushing too hard to keep up. Even when you have a clean line of sight through a left-hand kink, stay to the right of the centerline. Staying on the right side of the centerline is much more challenging than simply straightening every slight corner, and when the whole group is committed to this intelligent practice, the temptation to cheat is eliminated through peer pressure and logic. Though street riding shouldn't be described in racing terms, you can think of your lane as the race track. Leaving your lane is tantamount to a crash.

Just a heads up, there was still snow up at the top last weekend (4/22-4/23) and top 1/4 of the tight side was soaked from the melting snow.

I'm down to go on the ride.
Commuting everyday hardly qualifies as fun, but it sure keeps me on my toes!
My roomate might be coming too, so I look forward to meeting everyone.

It was great to finally meet a bunch of you and ride Palomar. Thanks for organizing the ride, Chuckie. And especially thank you Carol, Chuckie, Joe, and Matt for helping out a first timer (sorry if I spelt you names wrong). It make Palomar a much more fun experience.
I'm addicted!
I'll see you all soon.
