some of the sheriff's biker cops came out to my house the other day and i had a chance to talk with them, but there's been 4 bike thefts in the past month all on the UCSB side of 101, 2 of the bikes belong to our club memebers (late model honda cbr900rr and late model ducati 900ss) along with a cbr1000rr and i think a ninja or gsxr so keep an eye out for anyone that seems kinda shady, or any bike parts turning up on ebay. Also make sure to try and keep your bike in a well traveled area and use your steering lock and try and buy a cable lock to put through your rear wheel and swingarm. I know they can still steal it if they really wanted to, but whatever you can do to slow them down helps.

Bike parts on EBAY and CRAIGSLIST in your area. so if your bike is missing check craigslist for similar parts. if so try and ask for a part that might get you closer the frame , or a part that you know is chipped, scratched, or anything that you'd only know about your bike.
