Oh, that sux! What a strange place to get a tank slapper. It almost looked like the front slid or he did a double dip and unsettled the bike:slap:

That looks like the part of the track where shifting occurs. It might have been that he either popped the clutch a little too hard or the powershifting made the rear wheel lose traction. Either way, ouch.

is it me or did he neglect to give it more gas when the slapper started? it looks like he slowed alot when it started.
that happed to me the other day just crusing on the freeway. i hit the lane reflectors at a bad angle as i changed lanes..i got out of it by hitting the throttle. needless to say. as i was skipping around i was looking for a good place to land
:shifty: my gaurdian angel was on my back seat that moment

Looks like a highside to me. That area looks like he got on the gas harder. He starts to get aggressive with his body positioning and then the rear end steps out and catches causing the bike to get upset. If you look at the track where he crashe it looks like it straightens out, so I would assume he was getting on the gas. Plus it looked like they were hauling ass right out of the pits. My tires aren't warm by that time. (Note to self never have that douche bag follow me with a camera) Target fixation! I don't know how many times I've seen people dump it in front of me and if I would have fixated on them! lol lets just say no one would want to ride with me! lol

I think you just want to be very loose on the clip ons and not have any input on them. the bike will ride it's self out. It sounds like you had some head shake on the freeway, which can lead to a tank slapper, but they are different. I was a victim of a pretty bad tank slapper in turn Turn 6 at Big Willow. 5th gear the clip ons went lock to lock real quick. Gas was the last thing on my mind! Plus giving it gas wouldn't have done anything at the speed I was doing. My bike doens't have the horse power to get the weight off the front at those speeds. Lets just say i did the Jigga Tumble! And made a certain racer cry! (it wasn't me, but it did scare the **** out of me! lol)
