Okay so the next time you guys see me roll up to bike night, my bike will have a little bit more character to it....aka....dents and scraps!
I was getting off the 8 freeway and merging onto the 15 (with two other riders) and sure enough there was a small group of cars stopped right in my lane, I skidded to a stop, but still managed to hit the bumper of the truck in front of me (who didn't seem to notice b/c it was no where in sight by the time I got my bike up). The reason the cars were stopped on the freeway was b/c there was a cruiser that had gone down in front of them (for whatever reason). So anyways..my friends got my bike up, we moved it to the side and assessed the damages. Right side is completely scratched up, big dent in the tank, lost my mirror, brake lever, and broke my throttle in half. When I started her up, she purrrrred like a kitten and I then proceded to ride back home with the observation of my two friends. On a side note, I didn't get too injured (thankfully to proper gear), but still got a bloody knee and my side and hip are killin me! I can barely walk! I am goin to be hurtin sooo bad tommorrow!!!:errf: :errf:
While I am bummed about the whole situation...I am also relieved that it didn't turn out as bad as it could. Number one....my bike still runs just fine, number two...the cops never showed, number three....I didn't break any bones, and number four...I was planning on replaceing all the farings, handle bars, etc anyways. The bad news...my tank is fricken dented horribly and I can't walk without a limp. All in all, it could of been worse.

I guess you have crossed now from the "those that will" to the "those that have" group.

It could have been worse and any accident you walk away from is a good one. Speedy recovery and take some advil as you will be sore for several days.

Thanks for all the support guys! Your all great! It feels good to get the "Those that have" part out of the way. haha (Not really...but it was bound to happen some day and atleast it happened right BEFORE I get my new farings and stuff).
I keep you guys posted on the repairs of my bike and me. Aspirin may be small but they are wonderful little pills. :)
