So let's see...cutting on the "outside" to get enough drive was what did it, huh? Don't most people cut on the "inside" to get enough drive to pass?
Either way, it's on for 7/29, Oggie. Should be another fun one.

Fo sho, Charlie. It was on the front straight when I passed way on the outside, and you can't get any cleaner than that.

You mean ride your motorcycle there to track it out? Not really. I know some people who do, but I've been there where someone crashed their bike on the track and subsequently didn't have a ride home.
Rent a truck and/or a trailer. You can then have peace of mind that your bike is ready for the track BEFORE you get there.

One of the guys who used to be on here all the time did that. He rode form Santa Monica out to Willow Springs in 35ish degree weather. He didn't have a problem with it, but then again he was Dre. The guy who had 40,000 miles on his bike in a year. I wouldn't do it.

My only complaint was that they didn't blue flag some of the slugs in the corners because
those jerks were messing up my universe being so slow on the corners and then taking off like a rocket on the straights :(
This has been true the last few outings at Fontana. There was even a guy out there on a Hayabusa that took forever to get around cuz that bike was damn fast on the straights.
There's more color flags out there though than blue that needed to have been used though.

well I can tell you there was too many people with to much ego in the wrong level
for sure.
the corner workers really have to use that blue flag and meatball to keep the
egotistical retards from causing trouble.
I had an entire pack of bikes I was trying to get around through 5-6 and ended up rolling
into the grass since I came in too hot. The corner worker at 9 appluaded me since most
riders that touch the grass end up kissing it!

RC51 in my group, that guy had no business on that machine!
I passed him on the inside of 9 and I heard that machine roar all pissed off
trying to catch me from 9 to 11. I am sure I lost him after 12 because there
is no way he had the balls to lean and accelerate like I was able to all the
way into the main straight after that.
I sure wish I had some NOS for that straight because we were getting bunched up
before 1 and you dont want anyone around you diving into that shi-cane!!

Just remember that its not a race out there. Keep a cool head, I've learned that lesson the hard way...
When I have a hard time passing people, it makes me think harder about my lines/drive/acceleration. When I go to make that outside pass in 2/3/5/6/19 it gets my adrenaline flowing so much its addicting. Take the time to figure out other things like late braking/trail braking so that overtaking will become easier in level 2. In level 3, its another story...
