Well, I think I can take a sick day after race day this month and head out there. Hell, if AFM is going to run Buttonwillow backward in October, I'll need more practice. BW backward is a blast, too.
Plus I haven't seen Deno since December. He's such a dream boat.

No Animals allowed on the track....sorry Steve.....oh btw I still need a front tire.....got any that are on super duper clearence? (The slick variety.)
shaggy
06-14-2006, 08:09 PM
yeah Animal, got any good deals on some take-offs?!?!
I think I'm not gonna have much fun at this trackday...stuck on the same old tires from the last one...and yes, there showing cord on the edge...slow group for me:(

You know you're still going to kick all our butts! You're just trying to pull a Rossi....oh my tires are worn, oh I got 13th in qualifying......oh yeah never mind, I am God:ha:

06-15-2006, 03:52 AM
Jason, you should post a pic of those tires, they are some of the most f***ed up tires I have seen after just one track day. I remember the profile on em was totally jacked up.
Peeps:
If you need a front tire I still have my michelin slicks takeoffs from pahrump. My rear was toasted but the front had lots of life left but I decided just to switch both. Besides I go so slow that I only use the middle.

peeps who are you? Tif?
I'll have some take offs with me for both you and Jason...if your guys need to get some stuff that's low on the $...
I haven't looked in any other threads yet: anyone gonna be at the Races this month?

If you need a front tire I still have my michelin slicks takeoffs from pahrump. My rear was toasted but the front had lots of life left but I decided just to switch both. Besides, I admit, I am slow and am always pushing at the ragged edge, like 95%, so I'm dissapointed in my performance. I try soo hard, but I just can't keep up with Jerry & Jason, my idols! I try as hard as I can, sometimes I even cry in my helmet as they just effortlessely pull away from me. I do get excited every time Jason "stuffs" me, but since I am always afraid when I go above 50mph, I go so slow that I only use the middle.
WOW Steve, that was a real confession! I always knew it though!!!

And I always thought Steve claimed to be riding at 82%...oh well, he'll probably still put me to shame at Buttonwillow.

Yellow R6 Steve: Did you just have the one Pahrump trackday on your Michelins? Did you use warmers?
RC51 Steve: What's the story on your takeoffs? (And yes, this is Tiffany.)

Well me of course. You have a rear tire for me, pre-paid. I  Michelin contingency money.

I was asking everyone else, Kurt. I EXPECT to see you there. I'd have to agree with you, the Michelin $ is nice...I got my card a few weeks ago, whoohoo...
Tif, or anyone else, DOT's are $40 each, Slicks are $50 each. Mounting and Balancing $10 per tire. So you can get a set of DOT takeoff's mounted and balanced for $100. You pick 'em...you choose 'em...

WOW Steve, that was a real confession! I always knew it though!!! Ever since I came out of the closet a few months ago I feel that I really understand men's inner thoughts. Next track day I am going to glue myself to your rear tire just so I can see your hot lines. Because of you my riding has gone from erratic to erotic.
Damn Jerry! This is a public site.
You must be pretty comfartable with you new life style. Either way, I still will prefer to ride behind you. Last time you followed me your stare almost put a hole in the back of my suit.
BTW Peeps:
I did about 3 days on that set with no warmers. I would honestly get something from Steve, you will be much better off.

Yesterday was fun, but 3 days of track riding/racing has worn me out.
Good to see some of you guys who I haven't seen since the last Buttonwillow backward day. TI2TT puts on a good show. I think I drank about a gallon of that Gookinade stuff.
It was nice getting acquainted with you, Josh. :nutkick: Now your bike has some "character" to offset all the bling. :)
I liked that photographer out there so much that I bought a whole CD of my shots because I figured my ego needs some help. :ha:

He used to use the RPM shirts Photography page, but he changed the name and now has a new home page. It's called CaliPhotography. Check the link below Steve.
