and i thought parking was free on sundays



sooo...
i park next to the climbing gym... across from warren field...

and saunter into the climbing gym for an hour or so...



i get back to my bike.. and there is a ticket shoved above my tach/speedo

"invalid parking space"
fine 40bux...

well parking is free if its a valid parking spot... if you did not park in a designated parking spot or one of those 24/7 places, then it was the police on duty that gave you a ticket

Hmm... wtf.... wtf.... that's a lame ticket. I even got a ticket for parking in the motorcycles area with a permit and they still gave me a ticket for not having a ticket. UCSD parking is lame.

you got the ticket because you were not parked in a spot distinguised for motorcycles only.

parking is free there, but you didnt get a "no permit" ticket, you got a ticket for parking in an invalid spot, so i'm assuming that according to the cop that busted you (or overall ucsd parking dept), motorcycles are only allowed to park within clearly marked "motorcycle parking" spaces.

if you read the permit that we buy for motorcycle parking, they do say that it is only good in Motorcycle spots

however, seeing as how parking is free on weekends anyways, you shouldnt have gotten a ticket, thats pretty retarded. i'd say challenge it on that basis: that parking is free regardless of what you drove.
