Can I get it plugged at any tire place or should I take it to a bike shop? Thanks, Krys.

I have the tools to plug it if you want, where's the nail? If it's not right in the middle your better off getting a new tire.

I tried to plug a nail hole in my rear tire once. Ended up running with 7 psi :grr: So uhh yeah, what Shaggy said...

You can get it plugged at any tire shop i'm sure, but I'd probably feel better about taking it to a bike shop or perhaps Shaggy's garage.. Shaggy's pretty "beast" when it comes to anything that runs on gas I believe. :-p

If the nail is off to the side of your tire or if the hole is somehow on the sidewall of the tire, then you will probably want to toss the tire and get another one. U can probably find perhaps a take-off or two from people on this board.. If I had an extra one in your size, i'd give u mine.

Welcome back btw!!

Oh.. if your tire is pretty old or nearing replacement time anyway, it's always safer to just get a new tire. :)

Lee's will do it, but will tell you it's not recommended. House of Motorcycles will not patch tires. Don't know about any other shops.:)

GET A NEW TIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF you buy a rear, then you can get a front free....there you go a new set for one tire....

Thanks! Do you know where I could get a deal like that? I've never heard of it.

So in addition to this thread I picked up a rear Dunlop 218 off a zx-10r with a weeks worth of wear on it. It has a nail hole in the center in one of the tread groves. It's a really small hole. I want to patch it myself. What kits are out there, what the best way to patch a hole, and who, if I wanted to take it somewhere, would do the best job?
