A crazy crashfest but a good day for american riders! I was bummed that stoner crashed out though.

Hopefully, everyone who crashed will be ok as that massive pileup didn't look pretty, esp for melandri

Melandri had dislocated collarbone and neck injury, Capirossi has abdominal contusion and Sete has fractured collarbone. All reported on motogp.com.
It's all on Hayden right now. Rossi could be back in control pretty darn quickly.

I agree, Sete and Capirossi in my eyes where Rossi's biggest concerns. With these riders banged up with injuries for the rest of the season, Rossi probably has this in the bag. Hopefully, nicky will give him a good run.

I can't believe that nicky mentioned that Rossi was playing with him... can I please run him over with a truck and spray paint "I barely finished highschool" across his forehead!!! I'll agree that Hydan is a great rider, but he should have pushed harder to keep with Rossi, atleast make work for the podium position. Although, I do agree that running the chance of crashing out wouldn't be worth the effort.

So any idea what really caused the ducati riders to play bumper-cars on the opening lap. I haven't seen a crash this bad in ages, I think it was an act of God that nobody died.

From the looks, Sete nudged Capirossi that probably caused his front brake to lock up. Causing the bike to flip and act like a bowling ball. That took three bikes out of the race, then four more crashed out during the race, and one rider flagged out.

What happened to Nakano, I never caught why they flagged him off the race?

Nicky shouldn't have pushed it further than he was comfortable with cuz Capx was tied with him for the lead. Now he's a good 20 pts ahead of Capx and 40 or so pts ahead of Rossi. Hayden actually has a great chance to win the world championship right now.

In the end, only 2 honda's finished the race!

Rossi had a perfect race....but it would of been nice to have an all-american podium. Looks like Sete's bad luck continues!

Didn't see the race but I saw the crashes. A shame Roberts had to score a podium under such conditions but nice to see all the Americans up there. Would have been interesting to see how well he would have done with more riders to fare against.
