Rossi went down in the first practice at Assen today and then needed to be taken to the hospital. He was back on the bike for the second practice of the day, but definitely wasn't up to speed. This could make things really interesting on Saturday for the MotoGP race. Check out Roberts in FP2...dare we say he's actually starting to get consistent?
Here is some text from www.superbikeplanet.com regarding Rossi's crash and the FP times below.
The Doctor fell from his YZR-M1 machine at high-speed approaching the final chicane and had to be stretchered off to the medical center.
Early reports from track-side indicated that Camel Yamaha's Rossi had broken his wrist and sustained injuries to his chest and ankle. He attended a Dutch hospital for further examinations, and as yet there is no official word on his condition and his further participation in this weekend's race meeting.
