But the boy can pole!!!
Crazy stuff, rossi hurt and people coming back from injuries and crashes. Think rossi will have a start like that first year in qatar when him and biaggi were dead last?

Hopefully he does well though. Like to see him up there. With all the injuries this is quite possible.

Yea a lot of key people are down that if anything he could still get on the podium. Sad to say that I love US riders but this season is looking to be like if Nicky wins it would be sort of how Kenny roberts Junior won his by there not being any consisten competition as Rossi may be set back really hard from his injuries and capirossi and melandri now falling back because of theirs. I honestly dont thinkwe will ever get a fully competitve wire to wire season with all the riders week after week, but I guess that is just racing right

wow, what a depleted grid - capx, gibernau, and melandri out... all top 5/10 riders.
i don't think Hopkins will win this one either... but maybe later on in the season??

The funny thing is, I think this is one of the most exciting seasons just because the fact the the championship can go anywhere!

It just amazes me how close the lap times are. 13 THOUSANDTHS of a second. It make me proud to see Hopper up there, I hope he can bring it all together and finally get one the box.

Dont get me wrong I think it has made for some good racing but dont you feel kind of cheated that the best racers are not in it every week because of one thing or another it just doesnt seem really pure if some one were to win the championship because the next best guy was injured and no one was there to challenge. But yes I always will root for Hopper man we both have the same hometown good ole hickville Ramona

if you are the best that day, you are the best in the world that day. It happens in all sports, but that is part of the script right?
Is it their fault if the number one dude crashes and hurts himself, no. It changes the dynamic...and plus its not very number one to crash...
If he wins with a hairline fractured hand would you argue that he would have won by way more if he wasnt? Would it matter...?
Champions are made come race day. Lets see what he has got.

To win, first one must finish. Consistency is what wins championships, not necessairly who's the fastest on any given day.

I'm rooting for Hopper. I think it's amazing how far he's brought that Suzuki along. Not at the top yet, but he and the bike is getting better.
Will be very interesting to see how things sort out for 07. Honda & Ducati have running prototypes. Suzuki's bike is still on the computer. (sigh)

Don't feel cheated at all! Some teams have their $hit together and others don't. That's racing! These are the best racers! All of them. Just because one guy has an injury and is out (Gebenhoweveryouspellit) doesn't mean the best are out. Rossi is one bad a$$ dude, he may be on the back, but he will be punting people out of the way. As much as I hate to say it, Hayden is looking to be the best rider this year. He is consistantly on the box! Thats a champ! Hayden and his team have their $hit together and it shows. Suzuki is almost there! They have made huge strides this year and Paul Denning is the man to thank! Hopper is taking advantage of it and really trying hard this year!
I don't feel cheated at all!

Ok so maybe cheated was not a best choice of words. More like I just feel a bit bad for Rossi that he is injured and if this takes a toll on him the next three races it would just suck that happened cause we all know Nicky would not be first if Rossi didnt have crashes and now when he is getting back on track he has fracture. Yea I know and if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle

Also props to hopper for helping to develope the suzuki into something competitive!
Now 4 manufacturers -- Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and Ducati -- can tussle for the win!

Just a little pressure, something new for Rossi. Because we all know if this season had been like any of the other recent seasons, at the end of the day, it would be the Valentino show. With Valentino racing Rossi and while cool, it gets a little old.
