Anyone see the match between Kendall Grove and Ed Herman? All I can say is daymn. :guitar: One of the sweetest decision matches I've seen in UFC. To not tap out from a rear naked choke that looked pretty locked in is hardcore.

I was really inpressed with Ed Herman this time around. First off I don't like how cocky he is with all his **** talking. 2nd, I was unimpressed with his semi final win over Noah (who GAVE him the rear naked choke) so I was hopping kendal would whoop his ass. It was a great fight

I'm glad Ed lost. Him saying he could beat anyone in any weight class was just too much for me. I was not impressed with his 2 fights prior and knew it would be a matter of time before he lost. Kendall's triangle holds should have had him tapped out, so I guess I have to give Ed props for getting out of that. Kendall's rear naked choke was not as locked in as it could have been and definitely not as deep as Kenny Florian's was on Stout. I think Ed still had his chin toward Kendall's elbow so that's why he was able to not tap out. Wouldn't have minded watching a 4th round through it all.

Didn't look very solid until maybe the last 10/15 seconds of the match, you could see Kendall slip his forearm under his neck and that Ed had no pocket for his chin. Regardless, yeah Ed's cocky as hell but I dig grapplers. Anyone can land a lucky punch, not everyone can make people tap.

Glad they both got the contract, should be interesting too see them in the future.

Yeah I watched that match....I thought it was bullsh@t that Ed didn't win it though!! Horrible judgement!! I mean...Ed did all the work!!! Just b/c Kendall gets one good choke in, in the last 15 seconds! That kind of pissed me off...plus I lost my bet that Ed would win. I'm still P.O.'d!! haha

Stacia, Stacia, Stacia. How can you say Ed did all the work? Did you not see the two prior triangle holds Kendall placed on your boy in a prior round that almost made him submit? That, plus the rear naked choke at the end was definitely enough to give Kendall 2 rounds out of 3. It is a point system they're being judged by, so to me, Kendall was the clear winner. At least, BOTH were rewarded UFC contracts though so since that's what the contest was all about anyway, they BOTH won.

Okay..I'll agree that it's good on them that they both got the contracts, but I still can't give Kendall much credit for doing a few triangle holds and a rear naked choke in the end b/c they didn't look very solid and Ed was able to get out of them. I WILL admit though...that if that rear choke hold had been used with in the last minute (rather than 20 seconds)...Ed might of either passed out or taped out. THEN I would of given Kendall the credit. But I give more props to Ed b/c he was on top of Kendall the whole time, got out of the triangle holds, AND didn't tap out in the end.
