I just recently stumbled upon the USARM (Unitied States Auto Race Marshalls) a cornerworking organization that supplies cornerworkers for a wide variety of car clubs Indy Car test sessions, and professional motorcycle races at various tracks throughout California. Some of the tracks they work at are Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Thunderhill, and Buttonwillow. They've done the AMA National races at Laguna Seca for many years as well as all of the past Grand Prix Motorcycle races and and all of the World SuperBike races there.
So if anyone's interested in what it's like to work a corner(ie at the 2006 Moto GP/ AMA/ Etc. at Laguna Seca and you don't have tickets or accomadations), contact them and come out to an event. They provide on-the-job training to those that haven't ever worked at the race track. While cornerworking isn't for everyone, most that enjoy racing will enjoy having the best seat at the track to enjoy the action.

I have limited cornerworking experince and plenty of trackday experience and a pinch of motorcycle know-how, and I was accepted immeadiately..........Check them out at: USARM.ORG

I think it literally filled up the day you posted this :(

Too bad; I got to corner work the AMA race at Miller and those were the best seats in the house...
