What's your opinion of carbon fiber

if it is tastefully done, i'm all for it. as for the $2000 civic with $4000 of CF, that is a big fat no.

CF gives me a chubbie. I'll admit, I love any real CF (and hate with passion any CF parts that mearly stick onto something just to give the "look")

I REALLY like CF pipes, cause they're super light, and don't get hot.

I your goal is to improve the looks of the bike and CF is your thing then it's fine. If you're trying to drop weight then it's really pointless unless money is no object for you.

carbon fibre, with a light ferrari red/fly yellow/black paint job. The coat of paint is so light, that you can see the carbon weave at the right angles..

i find that sexy
though blatant carbon fibre stickers are crazy tacky...

I like a few carbon fiber parts, nothing fake. I don't like too much of it though, pretty much just accents. Unless you have tons of money to spend, there's no point in using it to save weight. And stuff like cf rims are not a good idea on the street imo.

i'm starting to hate my carbon akra can...i have a faded line on the right side from the sun!

Oh, and the CF exhaust mounting bracket sheared on me doing something. I doubt a metal one would have.

Yup! It looks good for the first week or so, after that it looks like junk!

Especially with the exhausts, my choice will always be titanium.

I had my CF akra for a looong time on my R1 and it looked good as new until I wadded it. how much do I like CF? I'd buy one of these unpainted if I could ;)

Maybe, but at least it weighs less and not more.... If you made a whole car out of chrome (no, please don't post the pics of the polished audi or merc.... it's not chrome :P), it'd be a POS. If you make one all out of CF.. It's a Zonda ;) Or Enzo. I think those trancend bling....(the 4 wheel equivalents of Tamburini Agustas ;) )

There is a better alternative for performance instead of CARBONFIBER.

For example, I spent 99 cents at the swap meet for a "type-r sticker"
that I put on my neon green celica with civic hatchback rear tailights, with a ill-fitting non-painted kit with CHROME rims.

50horsepower easily.
