Okay, as some of you might know I wrecked my bike slightly on the 15 freeway almost two months ago and have been waiting to get it in the shop for a custom faring hook up. Finally dropped the bike off at the body work shop last monday and was totally excited to pick it up on Saturday morning. My bike looked GREAT and rode so much better! I was having a blast riding it, despite the heat.
And here's where things went wrong...Tonight I met up with a study buddy of mine from school to work on a project, parked the bike across the street (where other cars parallel park). Not 30 minutes after I ask the guy if my bike will be safe where it's at, we walk outside to grap some food and my bike was on its side! Some jerk had to of backed into it or something b/c it wasn't just a regular drop. The farings got some big cracks and it bent the crap out of my right clip on. It's so crooked that I can't even ride it back to the shop, I'm going to have to beg a friend to pick it up. She's sitting up in Del Mar right now. If anyone can help...that would be awesome. The worst part is that I don't think I am going to be able to go to Laguna Seca. My bike is just too screwed up and I need to order new parts that probably won't arrive on time. I only got to enjoy my bike for two days. I am just so upset right now. I hope you all had a better weekend than me.

No way it could possibly be damaged enough to not be able to ride to Laguna, unless they drove over it or it's because you couldn't stand people seeing it with duct tape holding the cracks together. Bend the bar back, or put on a new one ($15 maybe?) and get goin'!

Thank you all for the advice and the offers to pick up my bike. I am diligently trying to figure this out quickly. Anyone know where I can pick up a right 41mm clip-on quickly? The only problem with me picking up replacement parts for my bike is that I usually have to order everything b/c no one has my bike parts handy. And I don't really have a vehicle to go to bike shops and order that parts. I need a new clip-on bar...dang thing definitly got bent! The whole clamp attactment got bent into my tank and I might be able to get it adjusted enough to ride it. I also need a new brake lever (I hate how easily those dang things bend!) but I usually have to order that part and it takes almost a week to get here. We'll see once I get off work today. I might just not need a truck to pick it up. Of course...I'm not too embarassed to ride it even if it were ducktaped together...hell I rode it around the last month with it looking like crap! haha Anyways...I'll keep you guys updated and PM those of you who offered a truck, if I still need one. Thank You All!!!

They're not pretty, an one is slightly bent, but they'll work. Just let me know where and when you wanna hook up.

Stacia,
My other half offered to assist with repairs and bike pick-up. He is quite good and can fix just about anything on two wheels. Neither of us are going to MotoGP this weekend, so we are available to help, so you can make it. Drop me a line on my cell phone if you still need assistance.
