They charge $60 for both tires.

So far i've found that Cycle Gear has the best m & b prices..... free!

It just sucks that they're sold out of the tires i want.

Mybe free if you buy a set of tires from them and hand em your wheels off the bike.
Or maybe Cycle gear is running a special atm, they are a solid shop and I support them.

But, I have consistently found Buymoto to give the best prices for a total package - new tires with m+b with your wheels on the bike. $30 bucks a wheel - on the bike - is an excellent price.

Cycle Gear does offer "free" mounting and balancing, but you will often find that their tire prices more than compensate for the difference. Check out BuyMoto.com for super low prices on tires, and enjoy a low price for everyone on mounting and balancing- just $15/wheel off the bike and $35/wheel on the bike. :nerd:

Which one did you take it to? My store (Convoy) charges $20 if you buy the tires there and $30 if you bought them somewhere else.

And yes, Cycle Gear only price matches local shops that has that item in stock.

Hmm.. maybe it's better not to have them in stock then huh... what do you guys think?..
BTW: it's not cool of competing motorcycle businesses to be advertising stuff on this forum because this forum is paid for and sponsored by the folks at BuyMoto. This club exists because the founder and his good friend brought it to life and created BuyMoto to help our members get great deals EVERY day (no haggling required). If competing businesses want to price match BuyMoto's already low and fair prices.. that's fine. We'd just appreciate if some of the newer members would take some appreciation for what the owners of BuyMoto have done for so many years for Hypercycles. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support of BuyMoto!

I was just clearing up what someone else had posted about price matching. Having working there, I know the policies of course.

And everyone should be looking out for everyone else when it comes to finding deals. Buymoto isn't ALWAYS going to have the best price.. neither is Cycle Gear.. neither is any other shop out there. But if everyone is going to get all bent out of shape about it, then.... everybody go buy from Buymoto!

People should feel free to shop where ever they please but since HC and Buymoto are privately ran it's kind of unfair to compare a private shop vs a corporate chain don't you think.

I've found a lot of deals from the smaller shops either shops or online stores but I'm not going to come on line and post it... come on now!

Plus, you don't see people posting to go to Buymoto on Cycle Gear's sponsored forum. Oh, wait...they don't sponsor a forum. Hmmm.

Let's just use a little common sense, people.

Hmmm, thats actually funny because when I had my Mustang and was more active on the Mustang forums, we always looked out for deals for each other. Even if it was something I didn't need, I knew someone else might be looking for the same part, so I'd post up about it. It's called looking out for fellow riders/drivers. :)

I'm not going to turn this into an arguement about who's right and who's wrong... or what shop is better. Even though I work at Cycle Gear, I could really care less about where people shop.. It's just a JOB. I also understand the BuyMoto sponsors this forum. I just hate when people feel that they need to sensor themselves on forums or have to watch what they say. It's a bunch of BS, if you ask me.

Simple fact, Hypercycles are sponsored by BuyMoto. Bryant and Jae put in alot of hard work for Hypercycles and BuyMoto.
Good deals might be found elsewhere, but there's no need to shout about it on here and therefore disrespect the hard work put in by BuyMoto/Jae and Bryant for THIS forum, of which you are a member. That's not BS, just plain respect.

Well, like I said, folks can shop where ever they please but if you noticed now, majority of motorcycle forums have their own group of sponsored shops that work in conjuction to the forums to offer members "ideal pricing". If you come on a sponsored site and start talking all this jazz, its not B.S but rather bad ethics.

In all fairness, Mel didn't start this thread but only replied to it so I don't thing she was being "unethical." If someone had a question about Cycle Gear and she happens to work there, I don't think it's unreasonable for her to respond. The big picture, however, is taking into account how she should respond. Let's not make this into a big thing where she doesn't want to come back as all should be welcomed here. It's a cool site with lots of good people, so let's all remember this before we make this bigger than it has to be. Mel, a suggestion may be to have considered PM'ing info to the person asking questions about something from where you work. You can still look out for other riders without going against the grain with those who sponsor this site. Once you start riding with the HC peeps, you'll find that EVERYONE looks out for one another. That's the only reason I camp on here as much as I do.

Signed,
The old guy
