So I just went out to my motorcycle to find a note on there saying something like "move this piece of ****, otherwise I'll knock it over by noon"

not really sure how to tackle this one...I was thinking of waiting in my car which is parked right next to the motorcycle and wait until someone tries to touch it and give them my own form of justice :rifle: . Its not like the motorcycle is in the way or anything...

Anyone have advice on what I should do with this situation? Go to the cops? Take it in my own hands?

its parked in the underground parking that they give us here in the complex. We are assigned a parking spot, so I just park my car a little bit further away from this giant pillar so I can put my motorcycle right next to it

Go to your complex management folks and report it. Tell them how you park your bike and ask them to see if they can put up a sign or note to say that you are permitted to park your bike where it is. The person complaining is likely the person who parks right next to you.

nobody parks next to me is the thing.

the more I think about it I'm 75% sure I know who put the note on the bike...

+1 on this.

If you do have an idea of who left the note, then confront the person. If they admit to leaving the note, then file a harresment case with the SDPD. It is petty, but the person might have a history.
Although, this type of action takes LOTS of your personal time, which brings up the point is the guy actually worth your troubles.

Although, I would use a shotgun with rock salt, screw the paintballs -you might hit your car.

they are just upset that you probably spend $30 a month on gas while he/she pays $100 a month driving a car around.

I'd report it to your property management. If you have all the time in the world, politely speak with alleged person and take it from there :)

office just opened and I went and spoke with them. Didn't help at all, they confirmed that the spot I park in is mine, and that was it. I know if I would see the guy even close to my bike I'd the whole thing would end with me in jail

This whole thing messed up my entire nights sleep...I kept dreaming of places to hide the body :|

I'm liking the shotgun and rock salt idea tho:thumbsup:

Talk to the higher ups! Talk to the manager's boss. If not then leave a note on the pillar saying if you have a problem with me parking come see you and deal with him/her in person.

So I assume the spot you park is more like a little area that no car can even park in. You did everything you could do all you can do now is wait for him :rifle: The guy is probably petty cause your able to not only save gas with a bike but also able to fit both things in one spot. I smell jeolousy

Only load the first round with rocksalt.. Cause, if that doesn't do it, you're gonna need some buckshot in the next round(s)....

I would talk to the PD. I might even act all nice and go to the person you think put it there and say something to the effect of "Hey, I was jsut asking all of my neighbors if they had any idea who might have a problem with my bike." Be nice about it, and if they fess up and start yelling, try not to escalate it, but walk away and report them... Them when it goes down you've got something in your favor...

What an a**

How is it that you live in a parking complex and yet have no one else park next to you? Are you between a pillard and a wall?? Is it possible that maybe your bike isn't blocking someone's car, but your own car is? From what you said earlier, it sounds like you park your bike and car side by side? Not bike in front of car?

Or maybe I just don't understand.

I'll try to clarify as much as possible.

If you are facing the parking spot, the pillar is on the right hand side, and to the right of the pillar is one of the entrances/exits to the parking garage. There is one spot next to mine on the left and then another pillar, but nobody parks there (assigned parking). My spot is a lot bigger than normal, so I park a little more to the left so I can squeeze my motorcycle to the right of my car by the pillar. That way I can chain lock the bike around the pillar. So again if you're looking at the parking spot from left to right it goes my car, bike, then pillar, then entrance/exit to parking garage.

Fortunately my bike is still upright right now, but now I'm all paranoid about it. I keep finding excuses to go and get something from my car or throw something away to check on my bike. Still in awe that there are people out there that can show such an utter disregard for other people's property.

angry mob comes to mind.....

on a more serious note, i say wait for the person and see if he/she shows up and confront them. and it'll probably be good to have one or two other people with you just in case the person tries to pull something. and complain some more to the management. tell them if anything happens, you're holding them responsible. really ***** them out. these industries run on ignorance. you just gotta drill into their head that you're serious. they'll respond with something useful eventually. btw, where do you live? which complex?

If you happen to live at Costa Verde dont expect the management to do sh1t. All the theft and sh1t that went on at that place when I lived there was crazy, when I had concerns they just referred me to the 'security' contractor who tooled around and didn't do a darn thing.
Hopefully this isn't the case for you and hopefully you aren't at Costa Verde!
Definitely talk to/confront the person you think left the note.
