Haha i'm hella bored in norcal sitting at home right now, so i guess i'll start a thread

As fall quater 2006 approaches, the officers at the UCSD Hypercycles club would like to get your input on what events you would like us to see have. Hypercycles is a social/kickback in addition to a motorcycle club, and events do not have to be motorcycle related at all, and everyone is welcome (and invite all your friends)! I hope to see us expand this club to a great group where everyone hangs out in addition to riding.

Potential ideas (i'll update this list as people put up ideas!):
-Beach day
-Beach bonfire
-BBQ
-Party
-RIMAC lol :lift: (basketball games, IM sports, weight room...)
-Parking lot pimpin' (Boba runs):squid:
-Study sessions (fvck around at clics/geisel haha):nerd:
-Gokarting at Miramar Speed circuit

-Paintballing (illusions_ls - Jason)...let's use frozen paintballs heh heh heh j/k
-Minibike races (grimfandango)

-Monday night bowling (jeanette)
-Tuesday night boomers (jeanette)
-Dodgeball (jae)
-D&B (Eric) - damn you 21+ people lol
-Pizza night/happy hour (matt)
-Karl Strauss (Matt) - again with the alcohol! =( get me a fake id lol....j/k...

let's start this up and make it a good year! everyone is welcome even if you don't go to ucsd, you know you wanna come and piss people off at the library with us lol

oh hell yeah those would both be hella fun, minibike races ...lead me to the idea of gokarting at miramar speed circuit too! we can all use our own helmets instead of the gross pos'es they let everybody else use

Bowling? $1.50 a game Monday nights

Boomers? (Video games, carts, mini golf) Tuesday night specials?

beach day/ bonfire sounds like a good way to start the quarter though. =)

Like the RIMAC idea, it be kool to hit the weight room with someone. Maybe for partying we can hit up D&B, beer + games = drunken blur

Aside from all the fun "outings" we do or may do in the future, I would love to have a regular chill time. This could be as simple as meeting as somebody's house at the same time everyweek for pizza. Or maybe a little bit more involved like meeting somwhere else for a happy hour etc.

My non-rider friends and I ussually meet up a Karl Strauss Wed night for $2 pints and I look forward to the night everyweek as its a time to catch up with friends. I would love to see such a regular time with HC at UCSD. Or just HC in general - I want to get to know people more in other settings than just weekend rides and track days!
