Oh let's just say a certain someone lowsided a certain GS500 and got a better bike. It was hard for me to learn on cuz it was so fricking heavy compared to most sportbikes!

Does anyone have any general advice for riding back up to the Bay Area? I'm looking for riding techniques or common things I have to watch out for, like wind.

It's a long as ride, just take your time and take breaks to stretch out. There are a few good places to ride up here, but it sounds like you know the area already.

I ride 9 when I go out there. 84 is fun too. I only do week day rides because the cops on the weekends are way to brutal. They just sit at 4 corners and when you stop at the stop sign they ask you to pull over then go through your bike with a fine tooth comb and right you up for any and everthing! No problems during the week though.
