New to SD/Motorcycling

Hi,

I just found this website and wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to San Diego and motorcycling and I'll be starting at UCSD as a grad student this fall.

Anyone wanna ride sometime, give me a little tour of the area, and maybe even some riding pointers?

Hey Dave! we're an official club on the UCSD campus too, so check back to the website frequently to find our meeting time when school starts (aiming for tuesday nights).

Any of us here would definately be down to show you the area and give you tips on motorcycling (i'm a total n00b stil tho haha). We'll usually post up our group rides on the "private rides and events" section of this forum, and they usually happen on saturday mornings. Hope to see you out there!

Thanks for the welcome. Actually, I'm renting a room in a place off of Governor. I haven't gone to campus since I got here last week, but I want to go and see if they'll give me my ID yet so I can start using the weightroom.

This morning I took a ride from Governor to Torrey Pines beach and back, my longest ride so far. It went pretty well except for the part where I didn't counterweight the bike enough making a tight U-turn to turn around in a parking lot. I think you can guess what happened there.

O_o You can start by posting up your own thread and introducing yourself. And you don't have to do anything special to join Hypercycles on campus. Just show up at the meetings and possibly lend a hand with flyering when time comes. :thumbsup:
