Someone was asking me when the PC show was and it took me a while to look in the other thread, so maybe we can better organize it on this thread.

Date: Apr 7th, 2004 (Wed)
Time: 8-5
People help setting up: caine(?), cbrsmurf, bodmaster
People who can table (from when to when): cbrsmurf 8-11 sworobec 12-5, epoch, all day (?) AND WHOEVER ELSE WANTS TO HELP
People who want to show off their bikes: sworobec, anyone (you don't need a parking permit to park it PC plaza.)
Misc:?
Canopies: check
Hypercycles Banner: Waiting for delivery
Hypercycles Stickers: Waiting for delivery
Rearstands, possibly. PS2, laptop, riding gear, videos, cameras, stereo, banner, cards, t-shirts, ramp -- who has em? BRING ANYTHING YOU HAVE

Mods please edit as we get more info.

I can help set up and table til 11am.

How long are you guys set up there? I work till around 2...

sworobec
03-06-2004, 09:44 PM
Time is 8-5 (don't have time right in front of me, but I'm pretty sure). However, we do have it reserved for the whole day, which is a bit past 5pm, I believe. Though I don't think there's much point in running up until the end. I'll double check this stuff when I get back on Monday.

I'm bringing my bike.

I can be at TEH SHOW from 12pm onward (minus an hour or so for lunch and office hours or some garbage), provided I can sit on any bike that is there and pretend that it is mine. Hur hur...

Misc: We need some easy-ups (canopies). Two to be exact. I have (my dad has...) one, which he might let me bring.

sorry about that guys.....:shifty:

PC stands for Price Center show at UCSD. at least once a year we do a show at school to promote the club to new riders, as this originated as a school based club at UCSD and has since grown to actually include more riders from around san diego that are not even students of UCSD. so next wed.(april 7th) will be the show for this year to try and get new members from UCSD that ride. you can also see another thread which is for this show under the san diego chapter that GPTECHMAN started for other info. show is from 8am-5pm at the price center of UCSD. anyone on here that is a student and wants to help out, please post up and bring your bike in to show. anyone that is free that day and would like to show their bike and help tell people about hypercycle and **cough** watch some girls walk by **cough** feel free to come. for anyone that does not attend UCSD and does not know where this is you can either post up here or send me a message and i can fill you in.

zeal
03-29-2004, 05:10 PM
Oh ok It is either to check the bikes out or the girls out  I can do the first on Palomar and well I will leave the second to you guys  . Kidding , anyways looks more orieted to UCSD students

I thought there will be a movie or something on safe riding and racers talking about their experiences on tracks and how they started off and stuff like that. hmm looks more for UCSD students.

Have fun out there folks :D

basically it is just all the member of this forum that want to come out, show their bike and sit there and give info to anyone that asks, hopefully show some riding videos and just hang out. like having a bike night all day at ucsd, in a spot where almost all the students walk by to grab their attention;)

hmmm i might ask for the day off if my bike is done =) count me in as a maybe ill have to ask tomorrow at work - if not i go into work at 1045 and leave at like 3 so i could show up a little b4 and a little after =)

In regards to me bringing a canopy, I CANNOT bring one. It's bolted down hardcore to the deck at my house...

Yes, so someone else needs to bring one. NEEDS to bring one, since we won't have one otherwise, which is bad, since I burn easily in the sun.

In other news, by bike is loaded in the back of my van, ghetto style, tipped over on it's side on a big giant cushion. Go me.

I am on for 12-5, for the most part, since food breaks and the occasional wandering off to someplace else for 10 minutes is usually included in such a long stint.

I will talk to Tom on Monday and doubleplusconfirm everything and what will be set up for us and such.

In summary:

Canopy - No
Bike - Yes
12-5pm - for the most part
Crusty Demons of Dirt movies - Yes (hur hur)

i think i saw you guys last year( but i didnt have a bike then) if it wasnt you then it was another bike groupe. maybe i'll stop by and say hi. i would say i'll bring my bike to show off.. but unless you have a "how not to ride" section of bikes, my now dented baby will probably not incourage more riders

You should go ahead and bring your bike, KC. There should be someone there at all times to watch over it, so you can just drop it off whenever. The show ends at 5pm, however, so you might need to get off work a bit early, if possible, so you can come get your bike.

yes all bikes are deffinatley welcome reguardless of appearance, like techman said....it is good to have all different bikes to show people that ANYONE on ANY BIKE is welcome to be part of hypercycles. i will be there at 8 to help and i have class from 9-11 and then i will be back for the rest of the day.

OK, ANYONE is welcome to bring their bike to show, no arrangements needed. BUT, you must turn off your engine at the PC shuttle stop and walk it to the PC plaza/center.

Also, ANYONE can come help table, talk to people, wash my bike, whatever. No arrangments or anything needed as well. Just come and BYOB.

Bummer :(

But at least you can make it to the show!

I have a request: could you bring your 250 to the show?... it might be less intimidating to people who are interested in getting into bikes and also to female riders who aren't as tall.

^^^ Going off info given earlier in this thread....

no, no parking permit is necessary and you are not supposed to ride your bike into PC. You should turn it off at the shuttle stop by the ATMs and walk it in.

I really dont think anyone will care if you ride it in though.

Guys, I know I dont know any of you but I will try to be there as early as I can. I have a 9am class so I was thinking I would show up at 8am or a little earlier to help set up. No promises though. I havent slept in over a day and I have work til 3am. Hope I do get to meet some of you though.
