Well, as I got ready to make a late morning telegraph run, my firend DOC calls me to tell me he is not going to make it because he is on his way to pick up some bikes that went down on telegraph. It turns out that one rider was killed. The story I "heard" was that a harley had gone down on a blind corner. The front runners stopped in time but some others could not. One guy ended up losing his life. Becareful out there people!

DULZURA One person was killed and four others were injured in a crash involving four motorcycles in the southeastern part of the county Sunday, authorities said.
The crash on State Route 94 at Otay Lakes Road was reported at 9:54 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
It sounds like there were two down, and our engine came across that crash and while there, another two motorcycles went down, California Department of Forestry Capt. Chris Hess said.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene following a report of major injuries, Hess said.
Two (injuries) were moderate, one was minor, Hess said.
The captain could not provide further details.

James, the fallen rider is/was a good friend of mine. While the story is a little different the results are the same. He was actually trying to help others out of the road when he was struck by another group of riders. RIP to my friend and best wishes to the others that were injured.

GixerKat... Yeah it was early when I typed this up and I missed that part. The riders had stopped to help the harley and were trying to stop the oncomming traffic but were not able to do it before the rider was hit by another bike. Were you on that ride? What was the guy's name? I know his wife, but only because she was on another ride that I was on a few weeks ago. I know that she was on the ride yesterday and came up to the accident after he had already been hit. Talk about rough. I hope she is doing well (as well as possible)

I actually was on the ride to Banner. I didn't know until a sailor on his ship told me today. I had just talked with him Thursday or Friday (kinda foggy right now) and we had wished each other a good weekend and I told him to be safe on his bike. I 'll type more later but right now it's kinda hard. Be safe all!!

All I got to say is that this is not the truth. I was one if the people that was majorly injured in this accident so I know what went down. Even the article has a big error.
DULZURA One person was killed and four others were injured in a crash involving four motorcycles in the southeastern part of the county Sunday, authorities said.
Where did the fith guy came from? I know damn well 1 + 4 = 5. And there were only 4 motor cycles? No one was ridin 2 up so did this guy just appeared outa thin air? I am not going to get into any details because it is too hard to talk about right now but I know for a fact there were 2 accidents (I crashed aprox. 10:30) with more than 8 motorcycles total involved in this and it would not have happened if there were proper traffic control set up on BOTH sides of the original accident and not on one side going back down the mountain.
As for the article, is it a cover? You do the math.
Luis was GOOD peepls and was a GREAT rider and will be missed dearly. I remeber I ran outa juice in my battery and my bike shut off. Luis came back to see if I needed a ride because he was willing to drive his truck to help me get my bike back home. My homies helped me that day but I will never forget his offer.
My prayers go out to his wife and family.
