I was planning on riding through Highland Valley Rd (no lights, almost no buildings/houses) to get to a good, dark spot to check out a meteor shower a couple of years ago. I made it about 1/4 mile in before I wussed out and headed back out lol

I rode through Telegraph one time at night because its actually shorter to get to Eastlake from my house. It was dark as hell. All the bad things that could happen were going through my head lol. You guys should try it.

About a week after I bought my R1 (my first "real" bike after riding around a POS for half a year) I took off down HVR for the first time. But, by the time I got to the turnoff into ramona, it had a) gotten dark, b) gotten foggy, and c) I had NO clue WTF I was and all I could hear was a bunch of coyotes... Turned around and finally got home..

Yeah, the other night I drove down to Rosarito to help out a friend with his wedding. Had to drive back during TJ rush hour. For some reason, the signs to stay on the 5 and go through San Ysidro aren't well marked, and neither is Otay Mesa. Got turned around a couple of times, but finally found it. At least I was in the truck but I was still clicking my heels together saying: "There's no place like home".
